Individual       Administrative Assistant
Situation   She didn’t feel valued or that her recommendations and contributions mattered.
Intention   To be more powerful and to be appreciated for adding value to the organization.
Personal Discovery   That she set herself up to be discounted by how she behaved when she presented her information. She realized she was discounting herself first.
Change as
Result of RL
She stopped discounting herself and shifted how she presents things to others. Due to her being more clear, grounded and solid, she comes across more powerfully, which has people take her recommendations more seriously.
Comments   She caught herself using tentative comments, “I think…” (while being apologetic and looking down) and began using more powerful words, “Here is my recommendation and why I believe this is the direction we should go…” while being confident and unattached to what they decided to do with the information.
