Will the Hawk’s win the Stanley Cup?
Will the Hawks win?
Will you have the fun & rewarding career you want?
Will you have the loving, rich and fulfilling relationship
you deserve?
Will you be the kind of parent or leader you want to be?
I’m not much of a hockey fan in general but
it’s fun to join in the excitement generated
by the possibility that the Blackhawk’s could
win the Stanley Cup.
As I look over at them from the perspective
of a team creating what they want (which I
am always intrigued by) I can see that the
Hawks have created mastery: They created
an inspiring vision, committed to that vision,
honed their awareness, have held a clear
and solid focus and they have practiced,
practiced, practiced. They have done MOST
of the things that contribute to mastery
and success.
NOW, the KEY question is, have they mastered
the noise in their heads…The Trickster?
Have they managed that voice that will do
everything to assure their defeat? That
same voice that does everything to assure
your defeat and mine???
In the past, I have had so many places where
I was close to creating what I wanted and then
I BELIEVED that voice more than I believed in
myself and what I wanted slid away because
I hadn’t had the structures and support in my
life to assure that didn’t win!
I imagine the Hawk’s Trickster sounds very
similar to how it might sound for any one of
us as we pursue our dreams: a rewarding
career, loving relationships, contributing to
our families and communities, and it
probably goes something like this:
“Who do you think you are?”
“You can’t make this happen.”
“You’re not going to win.”
“The other team is better than you are!”
“You’ve just been lucky so far.”
“You’re going to screw this up.”
Sound familiar? What have you wanted in
your life that keeps eluding you because
that voice has its way with you?
Is it a vision you haven’t trusted, a calling you
haven’t dared to follow; a loving relationship
you’ve wanted, a closer family life, to be a
greater leader, parent? What?
What is it you’ve wanted????
The Hawks have created mastery in all
the right ways — Vision, commitment,
awareness, holding a focus and practice,
practice, practice and a crucial key is not
believing those thoughts —and that takes
even more of a commitment, even more
awareness, and a greater focus
and practice.
The Trickster has been defeating the Hawks
for nearly 50 years; so tonight and moving
forward, I hope they won’t won’t believe those
thoughts and they trust themselves. I will
be the first one yelling and screaming and
celebrating with them!
Like the Hawks…much of my success was
on hold because of that Trickster voice and
through Radical Leadership and my own
journey of self-mastery my whole life has
shifted. I now live a life on the exciting
“edge of possibility.”
Like the Hawks, I have created a life of wins
— of exciting possibilities that never would
have been possible for me before and a life
that is too amazing to have even imagined!
I WANT THIS LIFE FOR YOU!!!!
Don’t be like the Hawk’s…don’t be like me…
DON’T DELAY YOUR DREAMS because you didn’t
have a support structure and a community
that would help you realize who you really
are and what’s really possible!
TAKE ACTION NOW! I don’t know if the
Hawks are going to win…but only you can
decide for yourself whether you are going
to live the life you know you are meant to
be living.
