During an In View interview that aired the Discovery Channel, Tuthill Corporation’s Chairman Jay Tuthill reveled Radical Leadership as a essential ingredient in the secret sauce of his Conscious Company.

As a privately held global manufacturer of industrial goods specializing in rotating equipment such as pumps & meters, Tuthill was hit hard by the recent economical downturn and despite taking conventional action senior management recognized a dynamic authentic approach was needed to take control of what was within the company’s control.

By adopting Radical Leadership’s principals and training Tuthill developed a “Conscious Company” blending a processed-based workplace with a life-enhancing culture for its 400 plus employees to strive for “Excellence at work, Excellence in life.”

“The benefit of becoming a Conscious Company doesn’t stop here within the walls of Tuthill. We have embarked on a journey that we believe will have impact outside of Tuthill. In fact, our vision statement describes our desire to have seismic impact on the world.” comments Tuthill’s Chairman Jay Tuthill . “Radical Leadership founder’s Therese Kienast helped me understand the awesome power of authenticity and creating an authentic workplace, a Conscious Company.”

Prior to the introduction of Conscious Company, people where hired because their resume matched the job description and now employees are hired for as much as what they have done as how they are and their alignment with Tuthill’s values of courage, awareness, responsibility, respect, integrity and excellence.

Since 2010, over 400 Tuthill Corporation’s employees have attended Radical Leadership off-site radical retreat, returning to their work and lives energized and empowered resulting in immediate and sustainable benefits for the Tuthill Corporation and their employees.
