The Anti Valentine-Valentine’s Day

It was Valentine’s Day and we were planning to go to dinner to “celebrate”. The funny thing is that we had hardly spoken in months… he came in and out of the condo as his tours ended and began, and I worked from home… we lived mostly apart and not talking to each other at all… I got crystal clear that out of love and for the sake of our relationship we could not do it this way any longer. No matter what, we had to stop this. I stood up and walked to him and said “Look, this is crazy. We can do this the hard way or we could try to make it easy.” He paused what he was doing and looked up at me with a quizzical look on his face.
